Anakin took out his air pods and pocketed his phone and keys as he took in his surroundings. This was not his apartment. Everything seemed vaguely strangely familiar, but he couldn't say he recognized anything specifically. Dust and an unpleasant smell hung in the air. And the sun was unbearably hot, in a way that it never was in Irvine.
He turned one way, hefting his backpack on his shoulders, trying to orient himself and came face to face with a dewback- a row of dewbacks tethered along a post.
"Fuck!" Anakin shouted, startled, and started backing up, stumbling over his feet and then actually falling back. He did not see dewbacks every day.
When he regained his senses he was next to the man propped against the building.
He looked over at the man, catching his breath and got another shock, realizing he knew that face.
He was out of his head, but he looked up at Anakin and studied his face with an absolute lack of recognition. "I don't know you." That was his voice, complete with the lilting accent and, in spite of slurring a bit, something very... educated in the precision of the words.
It didn't matter that he didn't know him, he reached out a hand just to steady him. "Are you all right?"
He rubbed his eyes with the heels of his hands. "Somewhere on Tatooine, I think. I can't think of another world with both this much desert, two suns, and slavery."
He'd like a name, but he was too disoriented for that. Not too disoriented to try to be helpful.
He took stock - he was back on a trash planet that rolled in scum and villainy before even starting the day. Standing next to Obi-Wan, his former Jedi Master, who didn't seem to have an idea of who he was...
Who had a slave's collar around his neck.
"Why do you have a collar?" Now that he noticed it, it was all he could focus on, and he was beating back a sharp tang of rage. He hated slavery.

This was a strange way to meet this man again. For the first time? Anakin wasn't sure how to really think about it.
Okay, that aside, he'd at least try to figure out where he was.
"Where are we?"

He blinked at the question and then looked at Anakin. "Because they don't want me to use the force, I'd imagine. Who are you?"
